The Lirika is amazing. It is my first fully automatic machine and I was apprehensive about the change but I have to say it is producing really good espresso with very little effort. Love it!
I recently purchased the Saeco Lirika+ after looking around for quite some time at competing machines from Gaggia, Philips and Jura. What I really liked about the Lirika+ was the inclusion of both a Pannarello Wand and Auto Frother for milk based beverages. The switch from Semi Automatic Espresso machines to Super Automatic was, in theory, to make my life a bit easier and quicker in the mornings. Well, after having this machine for about a month, I can say that my opinions are very mixed. When this machine works - it works great! The espresso is tasty, and long coffee's are very nice. Milk frothing could not be easier with the included Auto Frother, and its just very nice to have for an affordable machine like this. However, lets get into the issues I have encountered. This is where I regret purchasing a Super Automatic versus a Semi Automatic. I constantly get two random errors: "No beans available", and "Empty grounds container". Nothing is more infuriating than trying to figure out what these error codes are for and why they are popping up every other day. I clean my machine meticulously every other day, including the brew group, so should not have these errors. Adjusting the grind settings, aroma settings, moving beans around, vacuuming the ground chamber - nothing seems to stop the "No beans" error, and its infuriating. I've been through several bags of beans trying to figure out the issue to no avail. The "Empty grounds container" error is very strange. I get it sporadically during the week, even though there is maybe three pucks in the container. It stops brewing cycles if trying to do more than one drink, and requires the machine be opened and then closed. Overall, I am happy with the machine when it works, but will be likely be considering switching back to a Semi Automatic machine shortly - or even the dreaded pod based machines because these errors are a tad infuriating with such an expensive machine. I would go as far as to not recommend the Lirika+.
It was time for my 18 year old Saeco to go so I purchased this one for home use and I love it
Simple machine. Learned how to make MY espresso.
Shipped fast and well packed. Very nice touch with the free coffee beans :) We always remember a great customer service. First espresso machine with this type of quality. I absolutely don’t regret it! And the machine is pretty quiet I must say. Was expecting the machine to be loud but not at all! Makes rich coffee very flavourful, and so easy to make. Like the capacity of water and beans containers. What else could I say? Oh yeah...that I’m in heaven. The smell of it. The taste of it. Love it! Would recommend without hesitation. Thank you.
