The quality of the parts, attention to every detail and its modern design make Aulika Evo Focus the perfect professional coffee machine for work environments such as offices and small restaurants, where reliability and top quality dispensing are essential.
Aulika is equipped with “one touch“ logic, and automatically provides cappuccino and milk coffee, thanks to a special next generation cappuccinatore, The “Pinless Wonder“.
Pinless Wonder is a project originated in the Philips research laboratories and applied to Saeco products: this system, inserted in the machine nose, offers fresh-milk-based drinks of the highest quality and taste.
The milk froth and temperature are perfect, in terms of texture and consistency: these are the two essential factors that guarantee the brewing of excellent cappuccino and tasty milk coffee.
In addition, milk frothing is always regular, with no “splash“ effect.
Thanks to the new interface with backlit icons, which offers a wide range of direct-touch drinks, you can select your chosen drink with a simple and intuitive gesture.
The dispensing area has been enhanced by the blue and white LED lighting that accompanies drink preparation, giving a touch of elegance and sophistication.
My wife and I have enjoyed espresso via a stove-top espresso maker my Portuguese mother-in-law gave us when we married in the mid-1980s. We enjoyed this for many years and it got me through graduate school from the mid 1980s to early 1990s. We currently have an older manual Breville unit that works ok, but the best espresso was when we visited the Azores and Europe. For close to 20 years we have had several grind and brew units from Cuisinart. Fast-forward to late September/early October 2021 and we decided to purchase a superautomatic espresso machine. We eventually settled on a unit from Espresso Canada and Luciano. Initially we were looking at one of the Philips systems (4300 or 5400 series) and decided to purchase the 5400 series. However, supply chain issues meant a delay in availability until at least early to mid November 2021. At the same time I had also really liked the Saeco Aulika Evo Focus. We chatted with Luciano via email and he gave us a discount on the Aulika unit and credit for the payment already made for he Philips 5400. Our Saeco Aulika Evo Focus arrived on October 18 and thanks to thorough and careful double-box packing by Luciano and colleagues at Espresso Canada it made the trip from Windsor, Ontario to Lacombe, Alberta in good shape. We liked the environmentally friendly packing material, i.e. burlap coffee bean bags, and may look at using one with a nice design as a wall hanging. I waited until we had a month with the machine before submitting a review. In addition, to the unit we bought a Saeco cleaning kit and four bags of coffee (one of each kind). Overall, we have been happy with the machine and have thoroughly enjoyed the coffee beans. In a month we have gone through almost three bags of coffee. We have tried a range of coffee options on the Aulika unit and they have all been good. The unit is a bit larger than some of the other Philips and Saeco units, but overall it seems well-built and once you have read through the manual it has been quite easy to use. Overall, we really like the convenience of a superautomatic unit and the quality of the various coffee options, which is enhanced with the coffee bean options offered by Espresso Canada. There have been a few days where I may have overdone it on the espressos and cappuccinos! The espresso has been great, but is just missing the ambience of actually being on the Azores Islands of Santa Maria and Terceira, or in Europe. So far we haven't had any issues with unit and have followed the recommended cleaning/maintenance schedules. We did follow up with Luciano via email and phone for clarification on a few settings and operation, and he was very helpful.
Modern slick look. Good crema, large water and coffee bean capacity. Make sure to read the manual completely first. Luciano was a great help over the phone to fine tune it to our liking.
Excellent, very happy the way Luciano treated me, an amazing person. The machine was very nice and was the one that I have been looking for for many years. All family and friends love, especially my wife
